Power steering

Post by powdld »

I have a 1970 F-250 with manual steering. I went to the UPULL IT and got A power steering gear A Ford unit. After I installed it I noticed the steering was loose, so I tightened the screw and that took most of it away. If I turn left I have power steering, if I turn right I don't. What's the problem? Thanks Don

the screw doesnt work that way. it is a adjustment to mess the gears together better once they have worn some.

i think you have to get both tires off the ground and turn the wheel both ways seveeral times to get the air out of the system. i think this is what ir ead awhile back.
