Another Flatbed question

Post by 71PA_Highboy »

Would this fit on my bump? (71 F250 4x4 longbed)

Removed from 79 F150. Should be able to fit on just about any truck with 8ft bed. Nice shape. $150.

You might have a prob. with the rails on the flat bed matching your fram. 79 F150 Fram is wider.
But i bet you could make it work.

All the flatbeds I've owned have been "build to fit". Many are simply attached to the frame with stacked wood blocks. I prefer to build steel mounts and use the factory frame holes when I can.

Nice bed. Flatbeds come in single wheel and dually widths for an 8 foot length. Even though it came off an F-150 you might make sure the width is right for your truck. Single wheel beds are the same width as the cab. Dually beds are 6" wider.

I wouldn't want it too wide. It would look silly.
