Hey, your friend wouldn't by any chance have some kind of write up on how he did the hydraulic ram install would he. The more I see it the more I like it. Something like my 89 Buick T-type.

he did not build the truck, he bought it for 8,000 for the way its sits. i do know some who rebuilds hydraulic rams every day and he knows what type it is and where you can get them. i will ask him what type it is and what thwy came it. it does not look too hard to install. heres a pic of the bar work.

That is VERY cool! I think out of all the truck tilt front-ends, this one has got to be the most professional looking conversion I've seen.

When I was a kid and built model cars in the '60's,the first thing I would do is mold the hood to the front fenders, cut the fenders off at the door and make a tilt front end with a tear-drop hood scoop,a la "Ohio" George Montgomery and his Mustang Malco Gasser...Love to see 'em coming back...

Question,...I thought the whole idea behind a tilt front end, aside from easy access to the engine compartment, was to have it made out of fibergass to lighten the front end...
This is the point...I'm....talking about everybody! I'm talking about form! I'm talking about content! I'm talking about interrelationships! I'm talking about God, the devil, hell, heaven!!!! Do you understand???? Finally!!!!

Neat. I like the angled cut from wheel well to firewall. Is the front end sheet metal attached to a tube frame? Are the hydraulics electrically controlled?

yea its electrically controlled by a switch inside. its pretty neat because the motor is on the hydraulic cylinder. you can see it point up, its round and kindof looks like a oil filter. you can see it in pic named dsc00467

Just got on the computer this morning and checked out the cool tilt.

Nice job

Mine's a tilt- by- armstrong at this stage. Also, I see they left the frame intact, so everything behind the bumper tilts... On mine they cut the frame and hinged it so everything tilts out of the way...

Everything is still real raw on mine. Lots to do.

Really nice looking '65 !!

I think thats actuator is actually a electric
push/pull linear actuator, kind of like the
on your typical sattilite dish...
