I pretty much grew up with bumpsides my whole life. When I was a little kid my dad had a '69 F100 Ranger XLT, two tone Harbor Blue and white with the wood grain interior, 390 / C6. I was brought home from the hospital in that thing when I was born! hehehe My family currently owns my grandfathers '67 F250 Camper Special which is an all original 100k mile truck that has had ZERO modifications from stock. It still looks brand new and he's taken great care of it. We still put it to use on our family farm / ranch as a round bail mover though. No matter how pretty our bumpsides are, they always get put to work.

The bumpside i've got now is a '68 F100, LWB, Skyview Blue, standard cab model. I probably wouldn't have taken on this project if it wasn't given to me to save it from the local car scrapper / crusher. I just couldn't let that happen. This truck has a lot of hidden potential that can't be seen by just glancing at it. It's got a nasty bent up frame on the front (which is getting repaired as we speak) from a drunk driver, driving this truck into a tree on a rainy night. The same hillbilly that owned it also painted it with a thick layer of house paint... which amazingly prevented any rust! Blessing in disguise!!! I own a sandblasting business that I do on the side from my regular job at Dell... so that house paint is going to be super easy for me to strip off....
My goal for the truck is to make it look like a 100 point restoration from the interior and the outside, but have a 350+ horsepower FE under the hood just for fun. As long as I can keep it stock looking. So i'd be painting the aluminum heads and aluminum intake etc etc... going for a totally restored sleeper. That is until I start it.

Thanks to all you guys at Fordification.com for all of the excellent info you guys provide. I've spent many a night up 'til about 3 or 4 am trolling this site and figured I might as well join up. You guys have an excellent identification section with the grilles and emblems etc. I just can't wait until the hubcap section is up! hehehe I'm still trying to figure out what came on my truck!
Take care, and thanks for a great site!
