I finally got my rear axle pulled out after 2weeks of soaking with wd-40 and pulling on it with a 1'' ratchet and cheater bar. The nuts holding the u-bolts on would not come off with a impact so i had to do it by hand. Luckily i didn't screw up the threads, so i can re-use the bolts and nuts.
Now ic an get it stuffed with 3.73's and try her out. if i like it i'll pull the front axle and throw the other set of 3.73's in it. and go from 3000 rpm's at 55 down to like 2300. and go from 10 mpg to 12-13.
pics soon.

Yup, ya can usually see the ubolt "give" and the impact gets absorbed.
Since never a good idea to reuse ubolts, good ole smoke wrench works fer me. Even brand new ones used only once before already have stretched and have been weakened.
i thought about gettng new ones but right now i'm broke, so these will have to do for now. later on i'll buy some new ones. probably in a couple months. I won't be doing any hardcore wheelin till i get my front gerars switched over so no worries.
