Hey from Lake Stevens, WA

Post by pasty63 »

Hi - I'm a new member from WA. Just picked up a 72 F250 Ranger XLT. It's a 390 2V. Pretty stock truck - the sheet metal is a little wavy with a shameless Earl Scheib paint job, but no serious rust. Just planning to use it to clean up the yard and work around the house. It has a coolant use issue and currently needs a battery, but should be fun. I've had a couple of these trucks over the last 25 years, but it's been over 10 years since I had my last, which was a Canadian 71 F250 with a 360 auto. (I could tell it was Canadian by it's good looks and penchant for criticizing my comparatively narrow world view :D ) Looking around in the garage for parts that might fit my current motor I found new exhaust gaskets that were for the 360, a cast iron FE 4V manifold and a Holley 4160 that needs a rebuild - further proof you should never get rid of anything - you never know!

And the North Wet contingent grows... we're slowly but surely going to take over the world...

Welcome, and, well, it's already been said. Twice.
