Suspension Torque Specs Anyone?

Post by Classictrucker04 »

I am in the middle of converting my 68 Ranger to disk brakes. I am changing everything out with a 77 F150. Does anyone have a list of the torque specs for all the suspension bolts?

Most front suspension components don't have specified torque settings...you just crank 'em down until they're 'gutentite'. ;)

However, here are the values specified in the Factory Service Manual (all settings are in ft-lbs):

- front shock absorber: 15-25 upper end; 40-60 lower end
- front spring seat & pivot bracket to frame: 50-70
- radius arm to bracket - 80-120
- front axle to pivot bracket: 120-150
- radius arm bracket to #2 crossmember: 30-40
- spring retainer to upper spring seat: 18-25
