steering column 66 to7

Post by 3rdowner »

IN changing 66 manaul bendix to ford powersteering, what is the easiest steering column to use. The 66 still has the flat indent shift plate. once they wear the truck will jump into reverse. What year did ford go to the vertical mechanism. Is there any wiring nightmares?

no real wiring nightmares, but the mounting "u" on the bottom of the column is different.
no idea as to the change in the columns.
might look in here i know one of the members there can tell you about the 65-66 columns.

you can ford a river or stream and get to the other side, if you dodge it you will not, and if you drive a chevy to the levee it will run dry and the music will die.
