brake booster

Post by 19FORD67 »

I robbed what I belive to be a 70/71 booster and master cylinder, because it was there. My '78 donor truck has manual disc brakes (why i dont know) if I pull everything from the '78, will the '70/'71 brake booster work with the '78 parts?

Yep! The brake pedal assembly is different in the '67 though. You may have to work on attaching the push rod to the brake peddle.

Same as the 70/71 stuff the rod will need to be shortened, or you could use 68/72 pedal bracket.

I got another Q about my brakes, since my '78 is manual disc, I would assume that my prop valve is going to be a "manifold" type, Anyone know how I can look at a prop and tell the difference?

Also, can one look at a prop valve and tell if it for manual or power?

And.......can I just grab any ol valve 67-79?
