good tires, truck leans right.

Post by BigRedTruck »

I noticed this a while back but didn't have the time to mess with it till now, with the holidays around the corner. It seems that my trucks has began to list to the starboard along its entire length. The tires are all good, and are of the same depth. Something in me says the suspension, but I don't know anything beyond the engine.

Grab a tape measure and measure the distance between the ground and the bottom of your cab, bed, and bumpers on both sides of the truck.
Then repeat this but use the bottom of your frame as the reference point.
This should answer your question of weather its suspension or body.

Also i noticed that when parked in an unleveled parking lot. So find a good flatt level peice of slab. And test there.

could be your springs sagging. but deffinettally measure to the body and to the frame. that will answer your question.

Springs, I'd say. Mine lists to port. I jacked up the front, put jackstands under the frame. I found that the left spring is sagging 1 1/2 inch. The rear was fine. I've read that except for the usual corrision issues, replacing the front coils is no to tuff a job. I'll let you know when I get around to mine. After the cab mounts and floor.

Maybe my one ton springs cost more, or maybe I just live in NY.
