Questions about drop coil and leaf springs?

Post by Big D's 69 »

So I see that LMC trucks offers 2 inch drop coil springs. Will thes affect teh camber of our trucks? I was planning on using the two inch drop coils and having a set of 3 inch drop leaf springs. We have a company here at work that builds modified springs so I'm hoping that I can get these and go that route. Does anyone see any problems going this route?

It will affect the camber but it shouldn't be enough to worry about. remember your axle swings in a long radius from the pivot point on the other side so anything shorter than stock will put the camber out of original spec BUT with that long arc, I beam trucks can handle more travel before being severely effected.

I knew I could count on you Smoke. That is what I was thinking but just wanted to check. WOuld save a ton of money for another inch in the front. But a good front end guy that knows I beam trucks could realign it to get it back in specs.
