Lift springs from Carrier Springs

Heres the prices i was quoted for the 4" and 6" custom made springs for the high boy.
Custom 4" Springs will cost $450.0 Pair US
Custom 6" Springs will cost $500.0 Pair US

I would bet that shipping is expensive!!!
I think I will still get them. What else will I need to finish the lift? Brake lines maybe and what else?

Brake lines, Skyjacker is decently priced or have a custom set made, then steering components, depends on what steering system you have and what front axle your running. Oh and more gas money to go with the bigger tires.

Luckily I have another daily driver. The truck will be my once in a while fun driver. I have no idea what front I have. It doesn't have power steering or disk brakes. 3/4 ton 4X4

More than likely you have a closed knuckle 44 and will be able to use a drop- adjustable draglink offed by skyjacker or find a block or have one machined to bring the steering arm un the knuckle up. If you switch out your front axle for a newer disk version you will gain disk brakes and a diffrent knuckle setup that there are raised steering arms available for. Just depends what your using the truck for and how much you want to put into it. I opted for the power steering and found a D60 for free so steering issues were easy to take care of.

Are you lifting your 4 or 6" more than factory or are just replacing worn out saggy springs ?

Well for the 4" lift springs shipped to my door it will be about $1090.00. Thats not too bad i guess for, a set of 4 real springs. Patrick (460crew) how tall is you lift on your truck? I was thinking four inches would be enough. According too carrier spring the pitman arm might be ok. But most likely will need new brake lines. Thanks for your help Patrick. My springs are the 4in from skyjacker and lifted it a true 4in up front, almost 5 because my springs sagged. But in the rear I just have an add-a-leaf and it came out to about 2.5-3in. 1000 for 4 springs to your door is a good deal I paid close 900 for 2 springs and the add-a-leafs and rear shocks, fronts were seperate. No problem on the assist, just make sure you get some pics up after you throw them on.

Do you think putting fours all the way around will keep the ride height the same? Or do you think It will be uneven? I didn't even think about that. What do ya think?

If all the springs are 4in then it should just go straight up from where it sits now or is supposed to stock. I would imagine it would be pretty squared up and sit about flat. I like mine with the front a little higher and don't tow anything so the rear squat is not a worry.
