anti-rattle clips

Post by Jari »

Does anybody have a picture of how the disc brake anti-rattle clips install. I didn't have the clips and with new pads I ordered them but can't figure out how they are installed. New pads didn't rattle even without the clips but now after 1000 mls or so they are getting pretty noisy.

Thanks,
Jari

Yes, on floating calipers there are the springs. On sliding calipers with single pistons there are these clips. The brakes are from F150.

Oh, ok. Why didn’t you say so. :D

These two scans out of the Peterson book show it best. The clips go on the lower end of the inner pads.
