inline 6 p/s bracket

Post by jbrown414 »

Hey guys, looking for some clarification. I have a 67 with an inline 6 300. I will be hitting the junkyards soon looking for a p/s bracket. I need to know what years and vehicles I should be looking for. I have read the tutorial and it says trucks up to the mid 80's. Is there a year in the 80's that wouldn't work? Also, would vans, broncos and mustang p/s brackets work as long as they are for the inline 6? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can't help you much, but I'd bet the van brackets are different. It's a safe gamble that just about any van brackets for any make or model van are specific to the van as they often had to move accessories around to wedge the engine in.

i had a 240 in my truck, i tried to get power steering brackets, but i had no luck. so i settled with a 81 302 with power steering, and the newer pump on it :D

i do know that the P/S pump brackets on I6's have spacers on them, and if you do find the bracket, it would be a good idea to grab the spacers too!

:2cents:
69 F100 81' 302 / 73' fmx

I'd rather go hunting with Dick Cheney than go driving with Kennedy

Anyone else have information. I like this engine and plan to keep it. Just hard to find parts so I can drive in luxury.
