Hey guys, I want to lift my truck badly, but first i have to get my engine running good. Any suggestions on body lifts or suspenion? I just want to clear 33's
72 F-100 302 V8, bf goodrich a/t's, true duals, magnaflow mufflers, undergoing serious body work, K&N air filter, 2bbl carb, stock suspension, steering stablizers, 3:73's

Lifting the body on a 2WD truck would require a lot of work, mainly due to the steering setup. The firewall-mounted steering column is going to come up with the cab, meaning it won't bolt straight up to the steering box anymore because it'll be too high. You'd have to shorten the column up to enable you to include an intermediate shaft between the column and steering box...and even then it seems to me you'd have some pretty severe angles on that shaft. You'd also have to fabricate bumper brackets to raise those up with the body.
You'd be better off IMO to to a suspension lift. Autofab sells a bolt-on suspension lift kit for 2WD trucks for that 'pre-runner' look.
