Thinking ahead on por 15 job

Post by 69rangerman »

I'm planning on por 15'ing the bottom of the bed including the area up into the fender wells and partial double wall bed box area.
I'll be working in my house garage (doors open, fans going)and was wondering about using the marine clean and metal prep. Will I need to wash or rinse these areas out? Or can I just let it dry before applying por 15?

Also I'd welcome any suggestions about how to de-flake those same areas prior to cleaning. I was planning on a 3m pad and my arm.

I'll be doing this Christmas week and figure it'll take that long to get it all done and back together.

Thanks

Aplly the Marine Clean, then hose it off.
Apply the Metal Ready, then hose it off.
If you don't hose off the Metal Ready it will continue to etch your metal, and eventually destroy the box. It's an acid.
