I went to the bone yard and found a bracket for the ps pump but the one I found was for a 390 w/ ac and mine does not have air. the pump bolts up fine to the bracket but I dont know if it will cause the pully to be misaligned. I did thread a pulley on it and unfortunately it does not line up with everything else. I will end up needing the pulley and any other advise you may have. Thanks again

If you got the sheet steel bracket from a 70 and later 390 they are the same with or without AC. Trucks without AC just use a thick spacer behind the bracket where it bolts to the head. What is the number on the pulley you got? Hawkrod

Looks like the pulley has an (A8) stamped in it and the bracket was from a 70 I believe but I do not have any spacer for the head. I bolted it up to the head and it seemed fine but what do I know... :hmm:

you can use washers to space the bracket out to where it should be. i now seem to remember my dad doing that once.

Take some pictures and show us what you have. A8 is not the number I am looking for so look again and find all of the numbers as there will be more. Hawkrod

This is what a 70 PS pump bracket and 6AA pulley should look like:
