Paul, wake up, buddy!!! The steering stops are cast into the I-beams and spindles. But you already knew that, I'm sure!!! :D


Notice on the right side, there is a lot of rust around the thrust bearing under the I-beam. That's a good indicator that the bearing is shot. :cry:

On the left side, there appears to be a pretty big gap on the top side of the I-beam, and the bearing on the lower side appears to be somewhat crushed. :doh:

There's no doubt in my mind that it's time to replace the kingpins (and associated parts). Until you do that, any other repairs will be futile. :2cents:
