Help, I can't seem to find a source for the bushing that the brake pedal pivots on under the dash. Mine is worn and it allows the brake lights to remain on. Anyone know where I can find one?
Thanks, Kurt

The original lead bushings are tough to find. I replaced mine with collard ball bearings.

This guy can install them for you, or he'll sell them to you to install at home.
The Plastic bushings can be purchased at a parts store from the Help! racks, or you can get them from LMC or Dennis Carpenter.

re: Brake pedal bushing source
Dennis Carpenter would be my best guess for the lead bushings.

I know one thing...If you have shot bushings,
I wouldn't wait too long to replace them.
In my 68, those had wore out, and I never
realized it until the rough edge of the steel mount
sawed my clutch pedal shaft off..
I had to go to a
junkyard to get a new one. And these are not
easy to find in most average junk yards, as
most have scrapped the old cars. But I finally
found one at a junk yard that deals more in older
stuff, and he had not one, but three of them.
