I was wondering if anybody has tried to upgrade their disk brake setup using parts out of say a F-250 or 350?
This would/could include using the booster, calipers, etc from the bigger trucks on the smaller rotors.
The theory bouncing around in my head is that the brakes from the 250/350's would be bigger than the 100/150's and would give better braking with less effort.
What do you guys think?

No, the spindles on the F250s are larger and of a different configuration than those on the F100/F150 trucks. Plus the bigger trucks had a larger two-piston caliper as opposed to the single-piston caliper of the smaller trucks. I have a '75 F250 disc brake front end in my shop and can take a look to see just how different they are, but I'm doubtful whether any of the parts will interchange.

i am thing you might need the i beams too. you could use the rotor off a 4x4 on the back. just strip off the drum brakes slide the rotor on and get a front caliper and make a mount for it. i am working on my brakes as we speak. i am using 13" cobra rotors. took the mustang II rotors and machined off the rotors. now i can slide the mustang ones on. i'll get some pics.

heres some pics, the problem i have now is the brakes i have are huge. six piston wilwood intergra nascar calipers. i had to order 3 inch hats to space the caliper back so it does not hit the rim. stock mustang calpiers would have workd fine but i went alittle overboard. i need to get the bolt pattern cnc out. so i will have around 300 in two piece rotors. the rotors are 50 apiece.
