Tire Size-What modern sizes work on stock rims

Post by sharkdog »

Hi all,

Working to get my truck back on the road and starting to look at tires as mine are 20+ years old bfg baja all terrains 235/75/r15 and in bad shape. obviously the stock tire size has long been discontinued but wondering if there are any other sizes other then what's on it currently that would also work.

Thanks again

When I got my truck it had 235/70/15s on stock steel wheels. I think they were 6" wide. They were too wide for the wheels in my opinion. 215/75 fit much better. I have since upgraded to 7.5" wide Alcoa's from a 90 something F150 with 235/70's. Its perfect now.
