Is anybody selling glove boxes made of something other than cardboard or whatever the original is? It seems like it would be easy enough for someone with the right equipment to fabricate one out of plastic or aluminum or something, but maybe there's not enough demand. Anyhow, thought I'd check before I order one
Thanks,
Chris

Youre right. Like an ABS plastic one like they have for VW Bugs.

Re: Glove Box
I went ahead and ordered a cardboard one from Dennis Carpenter, but I'm thinking about spraying it with plasti dip or something similar before I install it. Considering that the old one lasted 50+ years and would still be okay for a while if I hadn't messed with it, that might be a waste of time and money, but I figured I might as well give it a shot. Anyone think this is a particularly bad idea?

Re: Glove Box
I fabbed one for my early Bronco glove box out of 26 gauge sheetmetal years ago.
Took the cardboard and used that as a template then cut/pop riveted and screwed it in.
Prob took me an entire day, (precision cutting with tin ships) but well worth it.

Re: Glove Box
I considered doing something along those lines, but I just don't have the capacity for another mini-project right now
