'68 Ford Queen from Prescott Valley

Post by lopidy65 »

My name is Marie and I am from Prescott Valley, AZ. I'm 25 and been working mainly on Fords since I was 6 years old (with my pappy of course). I have a 1968 Ford F250 Highboy 4X4 with a 300-6. She is currently my restoration project. Kind of a "Frankentruck". The cab and chassis is a '68 (still has the original windows all around too) the bench seat is out of an '83 Ford, the engine is out of a '78 Ford and the bed is off of a '71 Ford. As you can no doubt see I'm going to try to restore her. My dad purchased this truck off of a friend almost 18 years ago. He attempted to sell it when I was 15 and I turned into a blubbering bucket of snot begging him not to sell it that I wanted it one day. Upon completion of my trucking school (yup I'm an 18 wheeler over-the-road truck driver) my dad saw it fit that he give the truck to me as a gift for completing school. He felt it was too much for me to handle seeing it has no power steering. She's just a Plane Jane truck. No power windows, seats, brakes, steering... No power nothin'. The way I like it. Less to break down lol. So yea, that's a little about me and my "Frankentruck". If I knew how to post pictures I would lol

I also started driving OTR when I was 25 and did it for 7 years which I think was about 5 years too long. Enjoy yourself while you are out there, do your own thing. As I am sure you have already learned, don't listen to the idiots on the CB.

Keep on truckin!
