Cargo light hole pattern?

Picked up a really nice cargo lamp of eBay and need the dimensions and a pic of the cab if anyone has it handy. My local yard got rid of all the cargo light cabs and it's an hour ride to one that should have some.

At the widest 8 1/8th X 1 7/8. Need anymore pics let me know.

I think this is it.. ya might want to test it on a piece of cardboard or posterboard before cutting up your rig.

Thanks guys. HIO, your drawing looks good except I think the 3-5/8" should be 3-7/8" for the dimensions to stack up correctly.

I've been up since 5pm yesterday so my math may be screwy as well.

10-4.. I got that off of FTE and will let the author know... Hence my recommendation to test it before committing it to sheetmetal.

Why is the hole offset to the passenger side and not centered between the mounting holes? Just curious, as I've never had one to investigate.

I think it's the way the lights wiring feeds off to one side. I took mine apart this afternoon to clean and paint. I'll try to get some pics tomorrow.

Mancar1, how does your look from the side? I installed mine and I am not impressed with the thick gasket. Mine wants to look at the sky and I don't want to overtighten the screws.

Sits just right if the gasket on mine were to be turned up the other way than unit would point more to the sky. Hope this pics helps.

Ok, I did it right. My gasket is just super thick on the bottom side. At first it stuck way out of the bottom and I had to reset it by holding a square under it as I tightened the screws down. I guess I'll let it go for a while and see if the material relaxes more.

Mancar, I've come to the conclusion that our lamps are mounted upside down...

All the pics I found in the tech library show the rounded hump and thinker gasket at the top which would make the lamp aim into the bed.

interesting. That deserves consideration. May flip mine when I change the gasket.It is how it has been for a long yime. Maybe the original owner changed it. Thanks
