Flareside question

Post by rdaniel911 »

My son in law wants to put a flareside bed on the 72 explorer, so i'm wondering, how much difference is there in the box itself all the way to the 80's flareside boxes, are the close and could you put the old style rounder fenders on it, or do just the 67-72 going to fit?

hey i have done this before. the 89-86 box has squared off fenders that allows for wider tires. depending on your preference its all a matter of if you like the way it looks but yes either box will fit

That was the biggest question, he likes the step side look, and I know where there is an 80's box, he wants the rounded fenders, but those are something he can pick up.
