Georgia/SC/TN Meet and Greet?
I would be willing to organize a meet and greet with a swap meet if anyone is interested. I have a good venue here in my home town of Elberton GA, but with some feedback a different place might work. I would just like to meet some more Ford Truck enthusiasts in my area and swap stories, parts, whatever. Please let me know. I live about 45 minutes from DAWG country (Athens GA) on the SC border. Google map Elberton GA 30635. Lemme know

Re: Georgia/SC/TN Meet and Greet?
I actually suggested this quite sometime back, but never got much interest. We could also consider Summit Racing, Year One, Mustangs Unlimited or any of a number of other spots if someone is interested.

I may go to Pigeon Forge too. I am a member of an International Enthusiasts Club (SEBA) and we just had a great meet up in Greenville. I would love to get something started around here like that. Maybe a winter or spring annual event. We have a great State Park up here with cabins and camping spots (Russell State Park) that is on a gorgeous lake. I could provide home cooked BBQ as well.

I'd be interested too. Pigeon Forge is just too far to "risk" driving and it's just no fun going to a show/swap meet without your truck. I'm southwest of ATL. Hope something can come of this.

Whom do I need to coordinate with for one of those venues?DuckRyder wrote:I actually suggested this quite sometime back, but never got much interest. We could also consider Summit Racing, Year One, Mustangs Unlimited or any of a number of other spots if someone is interested.

But if I supply the cooking and such I would much rather have it close to home.
Keep bringing the feedback!

I was just going to call them, if you are cooking I'm sure Elberton would be easier for you, plus I am always out of town, so don't depend too much on me!

mjhaltom,
I'd be up for a meet & greet. I drive over to Elberton about once a month. Not that far from Athens. We have some awesome car & truck shows here in town, but they don't start up again until April I think.

Re: Georgia/SC/TN Meet and Greet?
HA! now we're talkin'! Lets find a date in March and go with it. How about Saturday the 24th? We can use the Elks Club here in Elberton. They have a nice big parking lot, restrooms and even a bar if anyone wants a cold beverage. I will cook BBQ and feed everyone. I just need an idea of the # of folks. I would strongly encourage a swap meet to go along with this. meet ad greet. Thoughts?

Re: Georgia/SC/TN Meet and Greet?
We could start this thing in Elberton and have it elsewhere next time. No biggie. Making the connections to start a local Ford truck club is all I'm looking for.

Re: Georgia/SC/TN Meet and Greet?
I'd like to do it, We are talking March 24th?
If I am home I will try to make it, also I'd be willing to offer assistance to anyone coming up I85 on the south side.

Re: Georgia/SC/TN Meet and Greet?
I guess I will keep an eye on this thread for a week or two to see how many serious folks we attract. Then I can make firmer plans. I checked with the Elks Lodge today and the venue is a go. Encourage your friends and fellow Ford truck guys.
