Bump fan from Steeler Country
Hey. Nice clubhouse y'all got here!
Found this place because of my sentimental memories of my Dad's 72 f-250 and all the trips we took and work we did with it when I was little. I find myself wanting to restore one for nostalgia. My only upgrade would be to go for a highboy (4x4 was a luxury that tire chains made unnecessary to him at that time). I remember like yesterday every physical aspect of the truck, how it sounded and even him having to pull over to change the heater temperature because of that goofy valve in the middle of the heater hose. Haha. Dad only kept that truck for three years and it was solid when he traded it. Funny thing is the '75 he replaced it with had rust through in 3 years! Pittsburgh is not a friendly place for sheetmetal. Very few bumps around here anymore.
Not sure if I will ever realize the dream, but this site sure makes the memories come easy. I will be spending many hours here in the future I'm sure.

SkyBlue, Howdy from another one from the Burgh.
I work in town and live out in Westmoreland County.
The 71 gets parked when the snow flies. I can't imagine what a year or two of salt would do to my bump

Re: Bump fan from Steeler Country
Well thank y'all for a warm welcome. One of these days I will get a vintage picture of Dad's old truck and post it. What is so funny is that my Dad bought a new truck every three years, and had some top of the line SUV's, but that '72 is the only one I feel sentimental about.
