Hello from Northern California
Hi all-
My name is Tim. I am from Northern California and joined this forum because I am in the process of restoring my dad's 1972 Ford F-100 from the ground up.
I will be posting pictures as it gets farther along.
As of now I have completely stripped the truck of everything. Motor, trans, interior, bed hooks, grill shell, bed, the whole nine yards. I had the bed soda blasted to remove rust and have now fixed all the dings and dents and done the bondo work.
I look forward to gaining some insight on this project as time goes on !
Tim

Re: Hello from Northern California
Good evening Tim,
That sounds like you're doing a thorough job on your '72!
Do you have many fond memories of hanging out in this '72 in years past?
Have you restored other vehicles before? It sounds like you probably have, given the way you're going about your '72.

Hi robroy-
I grew up with that truck. I used to sit on my dads lap when I was a little kid and shift for him. He unfortunately passed away this past April and the truck was going to be a project for him and I to do together but that never happened. I have never done any automotive work at all minus changing oil and spark plugs and general maintenance. It has been a really good project to learn on. I recently put new gears in the front and rear axles and new seals and new posi in the rear end. I am just now starting to rebuild the engine (302 V8) Luckily my mechanic here in Ca is a good friend and is helping with that part. All the body work is very time consuming but its coming along nicely.
