New guy from Phoenix, Arizona
Hi all,
My name is Sperry, I'm 30 and I do product development work for the largest self-moving company in the US and Canada, I'm a hot rod and custom geek, and I've got a serious love for Ford pickups!
It started in the early '80's with my dad's turquoise and white '72 Camper Special... built 428, C6, 16.5"x10" steelies. Just a burly tow rig, but it made a serious impression on my young mind!
My first car was my '55 F100 (that I still have and will NEVER sell!) that we dragged from a neighbor's driveway and revived from it's decade-long slumber. It was someone's hack-job California custom pickup, as it already had a tired Cleveland/C4/9" apparently pulled from a wrecked '70 Cougar, heated and kinked spring packs to drop it, a black velour and shag interior topped with a SMALL 10" Cal 500 wheel (not fun with manual steering and radials!) Well, it's been fifteen years, and a few motors, transmissions, axles, and interiors along the way, but here we are:
My most recent purchase that led me to this wonderful site is my 1970 F250 crew cab 2wd. 360, C6, power steering and power brakes, and dealer add-on A/C! She's white with a green (and clean!) interior, still on factory 16.5" steelies, painted argent silver with the original stainless hubcaps in nearly perfect shape. I really can't believe how clean this truck is... but then again, it only had 127k miles on it, and was a wonderfully maintained facility truck at New Mexico State University. I don't yet have any pics to show, but will get some up pronto!
I've also got a newer SuperDuty, along with a few other rides, but I know that's not really this forum's vibe...
Anyway, thanks if you actually read all my ramblings, and thanks for the great site! I'll be posting some questions and look forward to helping out where I can.

from Montana! I like the 55 truck. I had a 55 Fairlane 4 door. I wish I had kept it. Your 1970 sounds like a nice truck. I'll look forward to seeing pictures.
