I run 315/75/16 Kelly Mud terrains and am pretty happy with them for the 200 or so miles I have been home to put on them so far.

Go to the tire store and tell them you want a 315/75/16 and see what they have to show you (I would stay away from Hankook MTs though).

I went with Mickey Thompson MTZ (mud terrains) for mine but if you want to get ATZ (all terrains) they are good too, a little more aggressive then other ATs. All of the 35s are load range D but I don't have any idea if they are a "heavy" D.

I like the old KM1 BFG mud terrains. They have a good load rating. Don't tell anyone, but they will take quite a bit more than that rating too.

I've heard nothing but bad about the Toy muds. 25K treadlife for any use is rediculous to me.

wasgas, how ya doing? Toyo tires are manufactured in several countries including the USA. If made in the US plant they should have made in the USA somewhere on them. I made sure it was on my BFG before I let them mount them. Silly, maybe, but that is just me.

Thats all I will run on my X, they will wear much faster under a very heavy load my rear axle weight with trailer is often 8k. The BFG's have failed me on my Ram 2500 work truck to many times to trust them with the family on the X. My BFG's always need an extra few pounds of air every few months, my Toyo MT's in two sets have never needed anything but an occasional rotation. I have had multiple punctures on BFG's and Nitto both, but never on the Toyo MT.

This is my 3rd BFG AT tire failure at highway speeds with no extra load other than the truck.

These fronts have 10k on them and 9k are pulling the trailer

I know very little about the BFG A/T's. They ride and appear totally different from the M/T's. I was referring to the M/t's, specifically the old KM1's currently out of production.
