Re: New to Me 1972 F250 Camper Special
Well after being flagged by my apartment complex I had to move my truck. They wanted to tow it because it had no registration or inspection. **Flashback** In August I moved out of my old apartment on a Sunday night. I left my truck in the parking lot and was going to wait until the next weekend to bring it to my new place because it needed some work. I would drive by and check on it every day. Drove by to get it on Friday and they had towed it that afternoon. No warning or courtesy call. Technically they had the right but still My truck was impounded for less than 24 hours and to get it released to me it cost me $250 bucks plus another $50 bucks to tow it to my apartment. I did not use them to tow it back for me. ** Back to the January* My apartment told me that my trucks would be towed on the 22nd by 12:30pm. I asked them for a short extension but was denied. On Friday afternoon I had a feeling and asked that my room mate go check on my trucks and she told me that my camper special was gone. I called the apartment and spoke to them and they said they would check on it. When they called back they told me that my truck had been towed by mistake and that it would be brought back at no cost to me. So being the good tenant that I am I abide by the request of my apartment and move my vehicles off site. All of the other vehicles that have been tagged for removal?? Still here on the property, in the same spot, in the same condition. I feel singled out. I actually get out and work on my trucks when I can and move them around so they do not appear abandoned. Anyway, next post will be updates because I had to work on it to get it road ready. That's something good that came out of this at least.

Sorry to hear about the towing and impound problems. That is a real pain. I refer to problems like that as "somebody doesn't have enough to do" syndrome and they just look to make non issues into issues. I live in a development with a strict covenant and it is always something. I keep all of our 4 camper/RV's at a storage lot but I like to bring them home to work on during some weekends. I swear I can't have one of them at the house for more than 24 hours before I get some kind of nasty gram about it. Our next home will be on a little property, out of the city limits, where I can keep all of my toys and nobody can say anything!
Good Luck!

I called around to check on places to store them. Average price was $50 a month per vehicle. Talk about a rip off...
