the shoes are the same size. the lining making up the friction material is noticably longer on the leading shoe than the trailing shoe.
or do I have that backwards? :?
anyways they are different.

edit.... after thinking about it, i believe there are different sizes, mostly varying in width, tho. ie. 2", 2 1/2". do they come in 10" and 11" diam. also??

maybe I should just shut up and let someone who has done this in the last couple years tell it like it is!

i do think 10" and 11" is correct for the different sizes. the front shoe is the small shoe and the back one is the larger shoe. i'm not sure about width of the shoes though. maybe that is the difference between f100 and f250?

Remember to check the brakes with the Brake Drums ON!

You will need a buddy to help out on this one. Have him apply the brakes after you've spun the wheels (w/Truck on Jack stands of course)!

That will give you a rough idea of whats goin on with your Front Brakes. :2cents:

Thanks, I will. I am also thinking that it could be the actual drums needing turned.

Well I got it fixed. I had the durms turned and made sure that the shoes were adjusted as best as I can. Now I slam on the brakes and I am still going straight. :)
