1973-79 proportioning valve diagram

Post by onetuford »

I swear on everything that I searched last night through this website and found a diagram and some info on the 1979-ish brake distribution block or proportioning valve or whatever it is. NOW I CAN'T FIND IT! It showed where everything went and all that jazz. I am also wondering if these were mounted to the crossmember. I saw the pic in the gallery that showed it on the steering box. The one I have seems to drop down lower than that when I mocked it up last night, just as though it were supposed to be on the crossmember.

On the "79-ish" trucks, the proportioning valve was mounted on the rear of the crossmember below the engine.

Why is it that there's seldom time to fix it right the first time, but there's always time to fix it right the second time???

I'll have to get some up. The wheels are different and mine has a white roof, but shares the same red color.
