When I get ready to purchase new pulleys for PS what things do I need to consider? Matched set? Groove size? Groove cut?
Thanks for your time.

Re: PS Pulleys
Hmmm, maybe I should clarify my question,..here goes:
Can I use any FE pulley's for PS as long as I have the correct bolt pattern for the harmonic balancer and the pulley's are a matched set from the same donor? How about if the date codes match but acquired from different donors? The reason I ask is because I am not 100% sure my motor is a 352, there's a chance I could have a 360.

Re: PS Pulleys
You can actually mix and match FE pulleys pretty freely. There are really only a few caveats. First and most important is the crank pulley. There are two types, 67 and older and 68 and newer. They do not interchange. In order to use the pulleys you must have the balancer to match. The water pumps have the same offset from 58-76 so that part is easy. The part that gets fund is 1 or 2 belt alternator AC and PS pump pulley offset. There are a couple of very weird PS setups for FE's but they do not apply to trucks (they are odd, like 61-63 Tbird without AC). Basically what you need to look at is do you have AC? If yes then the PS usually runs in teh middle of teh crank pulley (position 2). If no then the PS usually runs on the front of the crank pulley (position 3). The alternator always runs on the rear groove of the crank pulley (position 1) but it can also run on the rear and center groove on some applications. For a PS pulley you basically need to know if you are running the belt on position 3 of the crank pulley where you would use a deep PS pulley (6AA, AG, AD, 80B, 90B...) or position 2 where you would use a flat pulley (AE, AF, 7AA etc....). Re: PS Pulleys
Professional Products has a damper that has "two sets of bolt holes to work with any of the various FE pulleys".
So they say.

The damper I was looking at is on the bottom. There's a link to a .pdf file that I didn''t know if I should post here or not...
Will this work for my truck? Wouldn't I just need this, a 3 groove crank pulley and a deep or flat PS pulley?

Re: PS Pulleys
I did not mention the Pro Products balancer as I try not to pat myself on the back too much! LOL: http://www.fordification.com/forum/view ... 5f0f325882. We designed that balancer to work with early or late pulleys and pretty much be universal for all Ford FE's. It is the size of the original 427 or 428 SCJ balancer and comes with a new timing pointer (because of the larger diameter). It will work on most vehicles including trucks with no issues and makes it very easy when changing pulley combos as it is more flexible. There is an SFI and a street version available. Hawkrod

LOL Hawk, how funny! I also like the ez-to-read timing marks, looks like I have my damper picked out, thanks bro!
