identify this wheel

Post by fordman »

what so you think it looks like. the lugs are 4 1/2 center to center. i measured them wrong earlier. i didnt measure them from one side to the center like you are suppose to do. there isnt a marking of ford dodge or chevy on the wheel. just some random numbers stamped into the wheel between the lug holes.

Ford, Chrysler, AMC and Studebaker all used 4-1/2" bolt circle wheels.

Doesn't really look like a Chrysler wheel, though.

Looks a LOT like an AMC wheel.

i forgot what the center of the hub was. its not a truck sized hub. i didnt think about amc. that does kind of make sence. i think i have a amc wheel on my trailer. but i forgot to pull the hub cap to check it. i go tbusy today cleaning auto parts out of the garage and putting them in the scrap truck. i am tired of tripping over them.

My grandfather used to carry 3 spares in the bed of his truck. Those were there in case all 3 one of the 4 other bald tires on the truck blew out.
