I scared the piss out of my buddy on the way home. He claims he'll never get in my truck again . Some knucklehead in a rice mill tried to pass me around the outside after a right turn, unfortunately when I mashed it, the kickdown rod stuffed me back down to 1st gear and put me in a drift, I had to pedal it and once the tires caught up I shot past the rice ball like he was tied to a stump. The motor was pulling HARD midway-up through 2nd gear and because the road had a few bumps in it, broke the tires loose again around 70mph, and had to lift again It's hard to make this short wheelbase go straight.

Someday... Someday... In the meantime, if I mash it, I flood and stall.... If I feather the gas, I am lucky to hit 50-60 after about 30 seconds..

Well, yeah... . I guess it does the job for now. But I would like to get the same feeling in the old ford!! I dont need to leave people completely in the dust from a dead stop like the Firebird can, but it would be nice to at least see them in the rearview doing more than tailgating me! haha

Yeah, its tomorrow night.. I am probably going to go again, but this time I will be taking the Firebird. Well, if I find the time to wash it.. . Its a bit dusty. But if you guys go, I will more than likely be there.
