I"ve completed the crown vic swap on my daughters 67 bump. The later model police vickies (which I have) used spindles which supported 16 inch wheels and i believe 12 inch rotors. Does anyone know if the earlier vickies used a 15 inch rim? And if those spindles would swap in? Are there any Ford spindles that are designed for a 15 inch rim that would work with the later C V suspension.? Reason I'm asking is because we have new Mag 500's as well as Torque thrusts to choose from for wheel choices . I like the old skool 15 inch rims, dont ask me why.
thanks in advance, Dave

Re: Question about spindles
i always thought all cv had 15 inch rims on them. i guess it must be something new them. what you will want to know really is if the 15 will clear the brake calipers and have the back spacing you want. that i cant tell you. you could try to put a wheel on and see if it clears the caliper.

Re: Question about spindles
already checked with a 15 in rim and its a no go. And the police C/V's all use 16 inch rims
