Brakes groaning

Post by oldreliable »

Hi guys,

My '67 F100 with drum brakes all around is making a groaning noise when I come to the actual point of stopping. Over the past couple of days it has been getting louder. What could this be a sign of?

Thanks.

Brake lining rivets are hitting the drums. That's why it getting louder. The rivets are gouging the drums. Time for a brake job.
