i just mean, ford has a part number for everything. like lenses or even the different parts of the hood have part numbers... now if i had a need persay, brake shoes, instead of naming that part. i'd like to know the series of numbers ford has attruibuted to them..

First of all, it definitely sounds like you need to do some reading and educate yourself with what you have. You need to be aware that Ford had a dozen different light, medium and heavy truck series, each of which are completely different with few parts which are interchangeable (generally speaking). Read the following 1969 brochure in the Factory Literature Library which touches on all the different truck series manufactured by Ford:

1969 Ford Full-line Truck Brochure

You have an F-series light-duty pickup. The F-series includes light-duty (F100/250/350) trucks, as well as medium duty trucks (F500/560/750). While some parts interchange, most won't....so you can't so go buying parts advertised as fitting a Ford truck and hope they'll fit. Many truck parts are pretty model-specific, and even year-specific.

Ford has a Master Parts Catalog (MPC) which includes all the part numbers that were in affect when it was published. You can either buy this in paper form (6000+ pages) but these are hard to find and semi-expensive, or you can buy it on CD from vendors on E-bay, which is what I'd recommend. I've started transcribing some of the more commonly asked-for part numbers from the MPC. The link to the PN Index is in the forum's header on every page.
