front axle vent routing

Post by fordman »

d44 high pinion. this is D4 axle i think. thats what the tag on the cover says. as well as the ratio. 3.50 where does the rubber tube or what ever its made of route to? it starts at the top of the axle and goes to where? i fixed the rear vent tube today and want to fix the front one tomorrom. i fear i may have already gotten water in both of them this weekend. the rear axle tube runs in basically the same as a 2wd does. but the front i have no idea where it runs to or clips up at.

:hmm: To the best of my memory , without lieing in the snow.
It goes high inside the frame then loops down.
There was a clip that held the hose to the frame.
