shocks

Post by Dusty's 70 »

I just finished flipping my hangers and cutting the coils on my truck and before i get the i-beams bent i wanted to put new shocks on. Since its lower do i need to buy shocks for a different type vehicle? I remember reading something about using a 2 wd Ranger shock, is this right if so what year?

just measure from eyelet to eyelet on the shocks and find a shock that has that measurement in between its full compression to extension.

Hopefully that works for you. It is what i did on my 67 4x4 when i redid all the bushings on the front end it made the old shocks to short so i had to get a set of better shocks.
I don't really care about brands Chevy Ford Dodge ...as long as it doesn't sound like two old dudes farting in a coffee can.
