i have a f100 4wd it has this type of steerign column extension on it. http://www.fordification.com/forum/view ... 28&t=40044
there is a plate that goes on to hold that rod into the cup and it is held on by soem sort of clips or something. well my cips or whatever is missing. the only thing holding it togehter was a R key. since i took it off when i done the cab swap the R key will no longer hold it all together. because the cab sits on there right now. how would you rig it up. i want to drive the truck this weekend. i need to go get some wood.

Re: rig it up help
Jeep CJ's and a lot of the older GM products used a very similar coupler.
Shouldn't be too hard to find one of those.

Why is it that there's seldom time to fix it right the first time, but there's always time to fix it right the second time???
That's not an oil leak

Found the parts you need:

I agree with 70_F100, lots of other makes used the same 'looking' coupler, Dodge and 73+ Chevy Trucks comes to mind.
