I started with converting the 67 F100 to power steering - saginaw with a C9 pitman arm worked great with the 67 linkage (thanks fordman). Now I have put power disc brakes on it using the Master Power Brake kit they list that is a direct fit for 65 - 72!!! Not a direct fit. The booster mount had to modified a lot so it would fit. Also, the brake rod from the pedal to the booster linkage had to be mounted on the side of the brake pedal like the orginal was mounted. With these mods, it works great (not a "made-to-fit" as they advertise!). The kit comes with assembled front spindles and disc brake setup. The steering arms on the spindles are thicker like the 72-79 arms. Thus, I have to put steering linkage with the longer studs on the truck. LMC trucks lists the linkage parts for late 71-72 and a different set for 73-79. The 73-79 linkage parts are about $100 less for all of them. Will the 73-79 parts fit? I have the D2TA pitman arm that came on the Saginaw power steering box to use with the 73-79 linkage. What should I order? Thanks for any help.

Re: 67 or 73 steering linkage??
sounds like you could use the 73-79 linkages. i dotn know if the later 71-72 linkages have the longer studs or not that go through the spindle arm. but arent the spindle arms removeable? they are on the 67-72 drum set ups. if they are just swap them out so your old linkages fit. and save some money.
