ive seen bailing wire on the swithces because the metal holder has malfunctioned or it got torn up some how.

Hey Bear...

Did it really take you 4 years to replace the MC ???
If so, I don't feel so bad.. it's taken me about a month now... :D
I actually got the MS swapped out pretty good, it was the brake lines thayt broke in the process...
Now, it just needs bled, but the guy who said he'd give me a hand with it keeps bailin' on me.

No, I replaced the MC four years ago. I replaced the brake switch earlier this year (my project was put on hold for a few years) and finally got the right switch for the job.

I did, however, put the piston in before putting the boot on - and the boot won't go over the end of the piston! So, I had to cut a little slice in the boot which defeats the purpose of the whole thing.
