Bendix Box

Post by Chip Joiner »

Hey Everyone. I have a 1970 F-100 with a 360 and C-6. Power steering was installed by the previous owner, but it is really sloppy and loose. Probably 4" to 5" of play in the steering wheel. It has a Bendix box installed. My question is, would it be better to replace the Bendix box or simply rebuild it? Input appreciated.

Replace it with a better PS box. The Bendix is crap.

before you go throwing parts at it check your rag joint and make sure its good. also check out your steering linkage and make sure its good also. if its all good then you will want to find a column and a saginaw box to replace the bendix with. and a engine perch for your 360.

True that. Then with the Saginaw box I could actually put headers later if wanted to. Thanks everyone.
