They are out there... just scored one from a '78 at the wreckers. They don't get handed to a guy any easier than this; no engine or dash in the way Just have to change the collar to the old style before I throw it in the '68.

i can get oen newer style off of a 80 something truck. the one with the plastic tank. i looked at it on wendesday. it was complete.

I'll have a look at dad's '85 4x4 to see if lines and pulley will work with something like that.

These columns must be neck and neck on rarity if not desireability. I've haunted the wrecker I got it from for about twenty years now and have found a fair amount of rare stuff there.
