What master cylinder do I need?
I need to find a manual master cylinder to put in my truck. I want to go disc front and drum rear. I got the proportioning valve and front suspension from a 77, but I want manual brakes for a while. What kind of master cylinder do I need. I want one to mount to my factory holes, but work out OK with my disc/drum setup.

Re: What master cylinder do I need?
the master cylinder works with the size of the caliper bores and the wheel cylinder bores to work correctly. i do not know what size any of the bores are. but since you are using a 77 front disc setup i would get a 77 master cylinder. the proportioning valve can help make up the differwence in the rear wheel cylinders. power and manual brakes have nothing to do with which master cylinder that you use. as long as you use a regular ford master cylinder it will bolt right up.
