Building drop I-beams

Post by 1970Custom »

Does anybody know of a place with prints to built them or am I going to have to "wing it"? I know they sell them but I don't want to pay the price of pre-fabbed pieces...

Thanks,
Eric

i can't answer your question. because i don't know. but i hada thought the other day. i haven't looked at a front end. but i was thinking why not drill a new hole higher up on the mount to let the axle set up inside the crossmember further. and then cut off the front springs enough to equal out how high the hole was drilled. you may or may not get much. and it may not work because the axle might hit the crossmember. but it is a thought. i had a frame i could try that on just to see for the fun of it though. if i try it i will post about it.

i moved my i beam up to help correct some of my camber.. kinda time consuming to do it right. theres some clearancing to be done. in my experience it wasnt worth it :2cents:
