i haven't read of anyone tring this yet. i think i would check the broncos wheel base and total frame lenght and then check the bumpside the same way. that will tell you if it will even work at all. the booster will bolt to the firewall. your bake pedal connection is what you have to worry about. if tis aq flat bar its ok to redrill the bar to make the pedal line up with the booster. the 2wd and 4wd columns are different. plus they 4wd uses extension arms to reach the 4wd box. and so does the bronco.big dog wrote:I have a 1978 ford bronco and would like to put a bumpside body on it. I think the frame is a shortbox and was wondering if the bump side would fit as long as it is a shortbox also. I have been reading out the differances in the old frames vs the newer frames and does not sound to bad to do but still have a couple of questions. First one is will the brake booster on the 78 bronco fit on the 67-72 cab? The second question is will the steering coulum on the 67-72 fit the steering box on the 4x4 bronco frame? I like the idea of 4x4, disc brakes ,and powe steering and gas tank out of the cab. I have 2 1969 short boxes one low rider with a 429 and one with a straight six and would love to have a 4x4 to my collection. Thanks in advance.![]()
