NEED PITMAN ARM for pwr steering
Hey all, Anyone have a pitman arm with either of these numbers they would like to sell me, or know where to buy one new? D2TA-3590-BA, or C9TA-3590-E,
I have a manual and a Bendix pitman arm, but just put in a quick ratio ford pwr gear so I need a pitman arm. Either will work, cause I'm putting in all new tie rods, drag link so I can go either way as long as it is for a ford gear. Thanks a lot guys, and I would like for it to be in good shape, i.e. the splines, etc.

BTW I'm in Indiana/Kentucky area not that it matters

I think they changed in '73 or '74, bigger stuff like tie rod end. Thanks a lot for replying, and maybe Keith knows for sure.

i think the 73 and up are the sane as the D2 arm. the arm i have is on a 77 box. and i removed the box from the truck myself. josh scrap the dirt off of the arm you have and post the numbers for him. i bet the numbers are the same.

I'm pretty sure I have the C9TA-3590-E pitman arm but I can't find the pics right now. I'll keep looking and just go get it from the shop later - send me a PM or I'll send you one. But wait.... mine came off a '67 Bendix power box so it can't be a C9 number. I'll have to verify......

Look at the tutorial for disc brake conversion, It explains the different pitman arms.

Hey, if you've got a Pitman arm from a Bendix set-up I'd really like to get some good close-up pictures of it, as well as the casting numbers. If it's removed from the steering box, it would be great to also have some measurements taken between the holes. Thanks!snake wrote:I'm pretty sure I have the C9TA-3590-E pitman arm but I can't find the pics right now. I'll keep looking and just go get it from the shop later - send me a PM or I'll send you one. Re: NEED PITMAN ARM for pwr steering
I guess I always lucked out. I gor several boxes over the years from dentsides and used them on bumps and never knew until years later there were 2 different arms. I put most of them on F-250s though. Also all the pitman arms I used said power steering right on them so I never looked for a number.fordman wrote:i think the 73 and up are the sane as the D2 arm. the arm i have is on a 77 box. and i removed the box from the truck myself. josh scrap the dirt off of the arm you have and post the numbers for him. i bet the numbers are the same.

Here are a couple pics from before I removed it. I can get more of it now (removed) if needed. This came off Bendix Power steering box on a '67 Ranger. I also have two '69s(one F100 and one F250, both Rangers) with the Bendix PS box.

Re: NEED PITMAN ARM for pwr steering
I have one. The casting # is C9TA-3590-E. Say F100-250 pwr steer on opposite side.
